Ensemble, ils ont créé une oeuvre authentique, qui a fait lire des générations de petites filles. Marcel Marlier, avec l'aide de son fils Jean-Louis au scénario, à poursuivi jusqu'en 2010 cette oeuvre qui n'a pas d'égal dans l'histoire de la littérature pour la jeunesse.
