Zeturic Год назад All languages build on the languages that came before. Languages that go on to be developed further than their initial release usually build on languages that came after, as well. Neither Kotlin nor Swift are the originator of any of their features. But, it doesn't matter who did it first or where they got the ideas from.

  • Lazic B.
Lazic B. 2 года назад I could reference almost everything from Kotlin to Scala. And in matter of fact, I'd dare to say that Kotlin is pretty much stripped down Scala. Pattern matching was implemented in Scala before it was in C# (plus it's not even close to Scala's pattern matching). Implicits were implemented in Scala before than it was in C#. That doesn't mean that these concepts belong to Scala. They are simply concepts of functional programming.
